Intercessory Prayer For Youths and Young Adults

Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him pleading for your children.
Lamentations 2:19a

As parents and/or grandparents we have no greater joy than to know that our children walk in truth. On the other side of this, there is almost no greater sorrow than to know that our children are going down a destructive path. Unfortunately, this has been a very common and thick thread in our society and in the Body of Christ.

Though frustrated and maybe even discouraged it's important to realize and remind ourselves that we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies but against rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world and evil spirits in high places. Evil is waxing worse and worse. This is a heightened time of warfare and the enemy has plots, traps, and brutal strategies aimed directly at our young people with the intent to steal, kill, and destroy.

As parents and/or grandparents we have the divine privilege to steward our children and the children of others in the Spirit by crying out from our hearts like water before the face of the Lord, with earnest prayer for God to touch the hearts and minds of this generation and for His Word to prevail over them.

The enemy may have a plot but GOD has a PLAN and together we can pray God's will to be done in their lives!

Let's join hearts in prayer for God's purpose, to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ and for His plans to be birthed in our young people and that God will raise them up to be a mighty remnant and affect their generation for Him!

Scriptures used: John 10:10 3 John 1:4 Ephesians 6:4 2 Timothy 3:13

2 Corinthians 3:18
