My Story
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.

Shannon has a special heart for those who are battling addictions. She herself has battled addiction and has gained freedom through Jesus Christ and her heart’s desire is to help others to be restored and gain freedom in Christ which enables them to live in their full potential in God. Once they are free in Him, and remain in Him, they can stay free in Him.
In order for her to be better equipped to assist others who are struggling with substance abuse she attained a certificate in biblical addiction and recovery counseling.
Shannon and her husband Marshall have been married twenty- nine years and have three adult daughters. In 2014 God placed on Marshall’s heart to birth a ministry to help others in the community. Together Marshall and Shannon founded the Salt and Light H.E.LP. (Help Ensure Love to People) Ministry. They minister to the needs of others by providing help and resources. Their goal is to bring hope to people through spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through word, prayer, deed and love, all to the glory of God.

I AM
Passionate about intercessory prayer. My desire is that my writings will touch the hearts of people for God and that my prayers will touch God’s heart for people.
Shannon is a wife, mom, author, and blogger. She has a passion for intercessory prayer and a strong desire for others to receive salvation and the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. In her debut book Prayer Matters, Shannon is very transparent as she shares her testimony of how inviting God into her life through the power of prevailing prayer brought freedom, deliverance, and restoration to her life.
Shannon touches the hearts of readers by sharing her life experiences, the Word of God, and heartfelt prayers. She shares how when a person's life is totally submitted to God it gives Him room to move and be glorified. That completely resigning our wills for His will and abiding in His presence brings forth transformation.
Shannon comes from a huge family where Friday Fish Fry’s and cookouts are a family tradition. She has a strong sense of family and a heart to serve others. She has worked as a school professional for twenty years but in 2015 she felt God calling her into full-time service and to birth a writing ministry. She stepped out in faith and it has been a blessed experience. She enjoys blessing hearts with her cooking and giving her testimony of freedom to others in need.
