Come by Faith
Welcome to day 1 of our journey to rest! I'm thrilled that you've decided to come along with us to find some much-needed rest and special time of fellowship and refreshment in our Lord and Savior. For the next few days, we will learn from the meek and lowly Saviour.
Faith is an essential component to getting this journey started right. Everything depends and hangs on faith in the Living God. Believing that He is and that He is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. An active faith of the assurance of things we hope for and the evidence of the things not seen. A persevering faith that believes that God is a rewarder. An abiding faith that believes that God is the Reward.
Together we are believing God for inner calm, fresh infilling of His Spirit, for grace to cast all our burdens on Him and to trust Him without being sorely troubled in our hearts and minds. Be assured that as we yield to Him and seek Him with all our hearts He will be ever so faithful to reveal and impart Himself to us, giving us new strength, endurance, and a secured rest in Him.
We are pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
Does life have you downhearted right now? The things that you are hoping for seem to be an impossibility? Need calm for your anxious heart in these unprecedented times? Come by faith. Let's come with humbled hearts believing and seeking to please our Savior. By faith, no turning back, expecting Him to quench from heaven with His Spirit, to move on our behalf, to teach us and demonstrate His love, care, and faithfulness.
By faith let us set our gaze on the Master Teacher, to take His yoke upon us and learn from Him. Abide in Him. Thank Him. Praise Him. Worship Him in the beauty of holiness. Allowing Him to grip our hearts with His unfailing love, inexpressible joy, and endow us with power and sweet rest for our souls.
The measure of our rest is dependent upon the measure of our faith.
Oh let us come releasing all to Him, expecting all from Him. Relinquishing every fear, worry, obstacle, and burden by faith believing Him to lift the weight, for His burden is light. Listen for Him to speak to our hearts for His sheep hear His voice. Trusting Him to shine in the darkness for He is the Light of the world. Expecting Him to ignite our hope because He is our Living Hope. Yielding to Him to envelope us with His peace that surpasses all understanding for the chastisement of our peace was upon Him.
Rest in this powerful truth today:
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith.
1 John 5:4
The measure of our rest depends on the measure of our faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Lord, send Your word.
Your servants are listening.

May peace rule in your hearts today as you trust in Him!
