Walking Wisely

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16

Thank You, Lord, that when we lack wisdom all we have to do is ask You and You give it to us generously without reproach. To fear You is the foundation of all true wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. Lord, we cry out for instruction in wisdom and training in understanding.

Father, we are so thankful for Your foresight. You have provided us wisdom and every good and perfect good from above to help us to navigate through this crazy world. Evil is waxing worse and worse. There are so many pressing and perplexing situations, decisions we are faced with, trials to endure and we look above to heaven’s wisdom that is:

Pure.

Peaceable.

Gentle.

Willing to yield.

Full of mercy and good fruits.

Impartial.

Sincere.

Unwavering.

Jesus.

Thank You, Jesus, for becoming to us wisdom. In You are all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. The wisdom of this world is foolishness with You. Help us to look carefully at how we walk in this world, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil, not acting thoughtlessly, but understanding what Your will is.

May we purposeful to get wisdom. Get understanding, not forgetting or turning away from the words of Your mouth. The unfolding of Your words guides us, gives us understanding, lights our paths. So when we walk our steps will not be hindered. When we run we will not stumble. Thank You for wisdom's ways, they are instructions in righteousness and paths like the shining sun.

In Your infinite creative wisdom, You made the laws for the rain and laid out the path for the lightning. By wisdom, You founded the earth; by understanding, You created the heaven. You saw wisdom, declared it; prepared it, and said to man, "Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding." Lord order our steps. Till our hearts, making them fertile soil for wisdom seeds to grow, enabling us to walk uprightly before You. Honoring You with our lives.

Thank You for wisdom's footpaths of peace, pleasantness, and favor. Gird our feet on wisdom's path. May we take hold of her for she is a tree of life to those who find her.

Lord teach us to number our days. They are going by so fast. Time is so precious and fleeting. Lead us daily by Your Spirit so that we may gain a heart of wisdom, live for Your glory, redeeming the time; setting our hearts set to seek You while You may be found. In You are hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Oh, the depth of the riches, wisdom, and knowledge of You! The price of wisdom is above rubies! How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding than silver!

Father, You tell us that He who wins souls is wise. Give us an unquenchable desire for souls to come to You! May our hearts weep for the lost, the prodigal, the backslider. Cause us to be bold, to minister the gifts You have blessed us with to win souls for Your kingdom.

Sovereign Lord, give us Your words of wisdom so that we know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning awaken us and open our understanding to Your will.

Help us to walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of our time. May our speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer each one.

Empower us Lord to ponder the path of our feet. Let all our ways be established so that we don't turn to the right or the left, and remove our feet from evil.

May we walk with the wise so that we may become wise. Fill us with Your Spirit and knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Precious Lord, give us insight into Your purposes so that we may walk in a manner worthy of You. Displaying Your character to the world around us, bearing good fruit, deeper faith, clearer insight, fervent love, and strength according to Your glorious might. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
