Forgive Yourself!

Hey friends! Thank you so much for journeying with me. You all help to keep me going and I'm super grateful for each and every one of you.

Today I want to share with you what God shared with me about an area in my life that I’ve struggled with in the past and to be honest I still struggle a bit because I still have to deal with the residue and after-effects of some of my choices as it to how it has affected those closest to me.

As I was praying the other morning God brought to my remembrance

2 Corinthians 12:9,

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me."

What was highlighted in my heart was “My grace is sufficient for YOU." It was for Shannon. For me . . . See I usually don't have a problem extending grace to others but to me, well just say I can be my own worst enemy at times.

But as I reflected on the Scripture and what God was speaking to me personally was that the same sufficient grace that I extend to others is the same sufficient grace for me to extend to myself. I was completely overwhelmed (yet again) at God’s unfathomable ways that He speaks and goes to those intricate deep places of struggle and brokenness in such profound GOD ways! His faithfulness is beyond compare!

I was led to share with you this exhortation today; God's grace is sufficient for YOU. Whatever it is that you may be holding yourself to, whatever you have not forgiven yourself of, whatever memories or mistakes of the past that you've ruminated over and over, been tormented by I pray that by faith and the grace of God that you will release it by receiving the massive love of God, forgiveness and complete work that He has provided through Jesus Christ.

Know that when the stings of the past come back to bite you God's grace and love is the salve that heals you from the remorse and pain of your past and catapults you into freedom and the new things that He has in store for you!

It's in my heart to share with you what God has placed on my heart regarding my struggle with forgiving myself. God's will is for us to walk in the fullness and freedom secured to us through the Person and finished work of Jesus and for some of us, it's just a bit longer of a walk but by God's grace, and His transforming power and love we'll get there! That's for sure!

I pray that you are mightily blessed with the latest podcast!

Love and prayers,

Shannon
