Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon Him while he is near.
Isaiah 55:6
God is drawing us to seek Him as we have never sought Him before. To turn to Him like never before. To obey His voice like never before. To love Him like never before.
God is wooing believers back to our first love. Some of our love has grown cold because of the cares of life, or we have been distracted by the things of this world, or we have been drawn to other loves. For those of us who confess Christ, God is calling us to rekindle that first love flame. To place Him above all.
For those who don’t know Jesus, He is drawing you by His Spirit and His loving-kindness. There is an urgency to draw near to God and seek Him with all our heart and with our soul.
Not only to seek Him with all our heart and with our soul, but as He commanded in Deuteronomy 6:5 to: "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength".
There are things that are happening now in the world and things that are coming upon the world that we must be so anchored in God, so immersed in His word, and seeking Him with all our hearts. Loving Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.
We can only do this when we really grasp the weight of all that God has done for us through the sending of His only begotten Son, His shed blood,
and His finished work on the Cross. When we really take hold of this marvelous work of grace and colossal love, we will really love Him as we should. As He desires. Deserves. Commands. This love is not of our own.
We love Him because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
God, in His all-knowingness, knows that it will be love that keeps us birthed from seeking Him with all our hearts. A desire that He has placed in us to seek Him.
Desiring like David in Psalm 27: One thing I have desired of the Lord that will I seek. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me.
When we seek God with all our hearts, the result will be loving God with all our hearts. To know Him is to love Him, and this unwavering and anchored love will empower us to endure to the end. When we really love Him, we will be empowered to stand and not be easily moved.
True love stays.
Love never gives up, never fails, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through any circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:7
When Jesus is our all and all we will be empowered to endure ALL.
I pray that you are so anchored and are so pulled toward a deeper seeking, abiding in the matchless love of Jesus by this vital message.
Love and prayers,
Shannon
