This has been a very difficult season of loss for so many people. Death is a very very hard thing and sometimes we don’t understand and we ask God, "Why did this happen?" We ponder in our heart so many things of our dearly departed loved one. They were young and had their whole life ahead of them. They were a good person and lived godly lives yet they suffered through a prolonged illness. They were so impactful in God's kingdom. They were ............. Why Lord? I loved them so much.
Our hearts may be heavy-laden, though we may not understand, we must trust God's Hand. So not easy but with God but we take comfort in knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psal, 84:19)
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has not changed. He is still faithful. Still merciful. Still ever-present. Still good. Still sovereign. Still God. He does not change but in the depths of mourning we do.
As God has been walking me through my own grief He has so lovingly blessed me with some much-needed encouragement and comfort on how to live by faith in the midst of grieving the deep loss of a loved one.
